Race Sponsorship Program increases purses by over $1 Million!

The upcoming stakes races this Canada Day long weekend are supported through the Race Sponsorship Program! This program was founded by the CTHS Alberta and the Alberta Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association in 2017 as a means to supplement purses and promote Alberta racing. Over $1 Million has been raised to supplement purses since inception of the program and the Canadian Derby now boasts a purse of $250,000, an increase of $100,000 from 2017.
