Calling all post-secondary students!! Saturday, October 4th, 2025 will be 'Campus Derby at Century Day' and higher learning students are welcomed back to a new school year.

Join us on the track Saturday October 4 for your chance to win one of 2 $1,000 scholarships! Plus, Balzac Craft Brewing Company will be on site pouring free samples all day! First race post time is at 4:45 PM.

Saturday, October 4th at Century Downs Racetrack, Alberta-breds will light up the track with big purses, owner bonuses on the line, and pride at stake. Here’s what you can look forward to:

Top-Level Competition – Alberta’s finest horses go head-to-head, showcasing the talent from this year’s and past sales.

Owner & Breeder Bonuses – More money on the line than ever before — it all comes down to this!

Custom Champion Belt Buckle – Trainers are battling for bragging rights and a one-of-a-kind prize buckle, symbolizing the best of Alberta racing.

Festival Atmosphere – A day of great racing, food, and community as we celebrate our breeders, owners, and the horses that make Alberta racing special.

This is the day to be at the races — bring your friends, cheer on your favorites, and be part of the excitement as we crown the winners of the 2025 Sales Stakes Festival!

Students must be in attendance to enter and/or win the scholarships.
