CTHS Alberta Sales Stake Winners

It was an exciting day of racing in the CTHS Alberta Sales Stakes under beautiful sunny skies on Saturday, October 8th!


The filly BIG HUG won the $100,000 Roy Shellnutt Memorial CTHS Alberta Sales Stake for Two Year Olds. This Alberta bred has now won all four of her career starts including the Sturgeon River Stakes and the Princess Margaret Stakes. Big Hug was bred by Chalet Stable and consigned to the 2021 CTHS Alberta sale by Stone Ranches. The Mr. Big runner keeps her perfect record of 4-4-0-0 along with over $145,000 in earnings to date for owners Empire Equestrian and Kerredge Farm.


WE B THREE was the winner of the $50,000 CTHS Alberta Sales Stake for Three and Four Year Old Fillies. The four year old BC bred Teide filly was bred by Ole Nielsen and is owned by Willow Creek Farms. This was the first win for We B Three this season who now has a career record of 12-3-3-4 and $80,000 in earnings.


ASYOUBELIEVE was the winner of the $50,000 CTHS Alberta Sales Stake for Three and Four Year Olds. The Second in Command three year old was bred by Bennett and Caravetta and is owned by Shot in the Dark Racing Corp. The multiple stakes winner adds this win to a victory in the Western Canada Handicap earlier this season for a career record of 11-7-1-1 and $179,250 in earnings.
