Celebration of Life Announced for Bobby Marsh

The CTHS Alberta sadly shares the news that the Thoroughbred industry has lost a valued member and longtime horseman with the passing of Mr. Robert (Bobby) Marsh on May 13th 2021 in Calgary at 92 years of age.
Robert was a long standing and important member of the racing industry in Alberta. He was a Director of the HBPA for many years and held the position of President from 1980 - 1982. Robert trained racehorses up until 1992 and was awarded the Horseman of the Year title in 1991. He was a part owner and trainer of the well known racehorse, Count Lathum and finished his racehorse training career with a record of 1788 starts and 214 wins (Equibase 1976-1992).
There is a memorial wake planned for August 1st, 2021 with details announced above.
