Alberta Bred DANCE SHOES Wins 2022 Shirley Vargo Handicap

Congratulations to the connections of Alberta bred DANCE SHOES on her victory in the $50,000 black type Shirley Vargo Handicap on July 8th. Dance Shoes is having a great season to date with wins in her last two starts including the black type RedTail Landing Handicap on June 17th.


The Mank filly now has a record of 6-3-1-1 and US $69,638 in earnings this season. She is owned by Mohamad Khan and was bred by James McFadyen out of the WhyWhyWhy mare Dancin for Dellana.  Dance Shoes was the winner of the 2021 Alberta Oaks at the 25th Alberta Breeders' Fall Classic.


2021 Alberta bred and Horse of the Year champion GREEK GEEK also had an impressive run in the black type $50,000 Spangled Jimmy Handicap on July 9th finishing second behind Market Analysis. The Misremembered gelding brings his lifetime earnings to US $204,605 and a record of 24-8-7-3 for owner Riversedge Racing Stables Ltd. and breeder Moonshine Meadow Ranch. Greek Geek was the winner of the 2021 Alberta Breeders' Handicap.
