Big Hug is owned by Empire Equestrian and Kerredge Farm and was bred by Chalet Stable. The Mr. Big filly is a graduate of the 2021 CTHS Alberta Sale and sold for $2,759. Big Hug adds this victory to wins in the CTHS Sales Stake, Alberta Fall Classic Distaff Handicap and the R.K. Red Smith Handicap, making 2024 her best season to date with a record of 6 wins in 8 starts and $169,575 in earnings. She has truly had a remarkable 2024 season, and her consistency in stakes races is impressive. The overall career record for Big Hug is now at 21-13-4-2 and $437,630 in earnings.
