CTHS 2024 ONLINE BIDDING INFORMATION
The CTHS Divisions (Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba & Ontario), will be providing real-time viewing of the auction and online bidding again in 2024 for all of our yearling sales with Direct Livestock Marketing Systems (DLMS) hosting this service.
DLMSâis an internet marketing company specializing in real time internet auction sales and is part of the largest livestock marketing network in Canada. DLMS offers instant bidding, streaming live audio and video; creating a live auction experience from the safety of purchasers' computer, tablet or mobile devices.
In offering online bidding we can invite a larger audience to participate in our yearling sales.
On-site viewing day(s) will still be held prior to the sale date which will allow for interested purchasers to view consignments. Those purchasers who are not able to attend viewing day(s) will be able to view consignments through online videos and pedigrees posted on both the CTHS Division’s websites and DLMS website:https://www.dlms.ca

NEW TO DLMS? CREATE AN ACCOUNT:
1) Go to the DLMS website www.dlms.ca and click the “Create Account” link at the top right corner – This link will direct you to http://dlms.ca/Account/Register. From this page please create a user account on the DLMS website.
2) After you have created your account, you will receive an email to verify your account. Click the link in the email to verify the account.
3) Login to pre-register to bid and establish credit (deadline is 48 hrs prior to the sale) or watch the sale live.
WATCH THE SALE LIVE:
4) On sale day, log in to your DLMS account, click on the sale and click “View Sale” to begin watching.
REGISTERED TO BID:
** THIS SHOULD BE COMPLETED AT LEAST 48 HOURS PRIOR TO THE DATE OF THE SALE TO BE APPROVED.**
If you DO NOT have an DLMS account established, please complete steps 1 through 3 first.
If you have an DLMS account established:
5) Log in.
6) Go to the left side of the Home Page and click “Buyer Approval”. From this page click the “Sign Up” button beside the CTHS SALE you are interested in bidding on.
7) After you have requested to bid, your account will be reviewed by the CTHS.
Once the CTHS receives and approves your Credit Request you will receive an email from us advising that you are now eligible to bid online, up to your approved credit limit, through the DLMS website using your login information when you registered.

ON SALE DAY:
A) Simply log in to www.dlms.ca with your username and password 30 minutes prior to the sale, the sale broadcast will start. At this point, the VIEW SALE button will appear on the home page for the CTHS sale. Simply click the VIEW SALE button to access the bidding page for the sale.
B) On the Bid page you will see the lot currently selling, the lot order that is next up, video and audio from the sale and the bid button with chat to the sale site.
C) When you are bidding, please be aware that your bid button will turn RED when your bid has been accepted and you are in as the high bidder. When it turns back to BLUE, you are out and have to bid again.
**In the 30 minutes prior to the sale, approved bidders can use the test bid lot to see how their bid is accepted and confirm that your account is approved and ready to go.
SUCCESSFUL BID NOTIFICATION:
If you are the successful bidder online, you will see your name listed beside that lot on the Market Report on the DLMS website. Immediately following the sale, the CTHS will send the Acknowledgement of Purchase via email. You must automatically sign and return it to the CTHS either by email or fax.
Please make arrangements for horse transportation and any post purchase examinations.
