Read the information below carefully regarding the transfer of Digital Certificates.


Digital certificates must be assigned to the C.T.H.S. Alberta as a Sales Company. Do not change the ownership to the C.T.H.S. Alberta, we are just the certificate manager as a sales company.

MAIN CATALOGUE

DEADLINE FOR MAIN CATALOGUE: MONDAY, JUNE 9TH, 2025

 

Part 1             Canadian-bred Yearlings

Entry Fee:       $ 367.50 including GST - *SEE BOX BELOW FOR CANADIAN-BRED YEARLINGS

 

Part 2             American-bred Yearlings

Entry Fee:       $ 735.00 including GST

American bred yearlings are not eligible for the Sales Stakes.

 

Part 3             Horses of Racing Age, Broodmares and Weanlings

Entry Fee:       $ 315.00 including GST

 

CANADIAN BRED YEARLINGS AND SALES STAKES ELIGIBILITY


- For Canadian-bred Yearlings, a mandatory $100 Sales Stake IN FEE will be taken from consignor sale proceeds so that all yearlings will be Sales Stake eligible. In the event a yearling goes through the sale and does not sell, the mandatory Sales Stake IN FEE will be billed to the consignor.


- To remain Sales Stake eligible, a mandatory buyer’s OUT FEE of $200.00 over and above the purchase price of the yearling must be paid by the purchaser at the time of the sale. If the yearling does not sell, the consignor must pay the $200.00 OUT FEE.


- The full sales commission must have been paid in order for the yearling to be sales stake eligible. The buyer’s OUT FEE will in no way relate to the normal sales entry fee or commission charged by the CTHS Alberta Division.

 

Commission: If consigned and presented for sale (regardless of whether the horse is sold or receives a bid) - 5% of the last bid, or consignors reserve bid by whomsoever made, or $300 (yearlings) or $100 (others), whichever is greater.

DEADLINE FOR SUPPLEMENT CATALOGUE: MONDAY, AUGUST 25TH, 2025

Entry Fee:       No yearlings are accepted into the Supplement Catalogue.

$315.00 including GST             


 

 

PLEASE REMEMBER THE FOLLOWING WHEN FILLING OUT CONTRACT:

 

  •     When entering yearlings, indicate the engagements nominated for and the province-bred
  •     When entering broodmares, indicate the following:


1.    Today’s pregnancy status of mare

2.    Last service date

3.    Covering sire

4.    Foaling status of mare for 2024 and 2025 including Sex/Color/Sire

Sign the contract on both sides and print name below clearly.

 

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR SALE:

 

  • Digital Jockey Club Registration certificate transferred for each horse

  • Original Canadian Registration Certificate for each horse (if applicable)

  • Original Coggins Test

  • Breeding Status Certificate – Mare Pregnancy form verified within 10 days of sale

  • Stallion Service Certificate (for mares in foal)

  • Livestock identifiers from Livestock Identification Services will be present at the CTHS Sale to check Livestock Manifests. More information can be found at  www.lis-alberta.com

 

IMPORTANT NOTE


Consignors are reminded that registration papers (or photocopies of registration papers) and payment must accompany the entry forms. Entries that have not included the registration papers or payment will not be processed until those items are received at the C.T.H.S. (Alberta Division) office by the June 9th deadline. Please see item #4 on the Consignor’s Contract for further details.
