The CTHS Alberta Yearling Sales Stakes is funded by the Breed Improvement Program, Nominations, Entry and Starting Fees.
The C.T.H.S. (Alberta Division) is responsible for the administration of the Alberta Sales Stakes.
The purpose of the race is to create a strong yearling market in western Canada, and to attract new owners in order to stimulate the Breeding Industry and improve racing in the Province.
Dates, conditions, and location of the Sales Stakes are subject to change at the discretion of the CTHS Alberta Division.
The conditions and nominations of the 2016 running of the CTHS Alberta Sales Stakes are as follows:
To be eligible as In Province horses for the CTHS Alberta Sales Stakes in 2017, Canadian Bred yearlings must have passed through the sales ring (as yearlings) of the CTHS Alberta Thoroughbred Sale in 2016, 2015 or 2014.
All yearlings that passed through the sales ring in the above listed years, whether sold or not sold, are sales stake eligible provided that the full sales commission and IN/OUT fees for any yearling listed in the CTHS sale catalogue for the year was paid at the time of the CTHS Sale.
