RE: Stallion Owners' Bonus 2010
Horse Racing Alberta's Breeders' Bonus for 2010 totals $168,596 and is being distributed through the Breed Improvement Program. The bonus is based on 2,3,4, and 5 year old horses foaled in Alberta being paid a bonus in an amount equal to the pro rata portion of the total budgeted amount based on total purse money earned by those horses in all races at all racetracks in Alberta. Stallions must have stood in the Province of Alberta for the entire calendar year during the year of conception of the foal in order to be eligible. Please note that due to allocations from the Alberta Lottery Fund being lower than expected the Stallion Owners' Bonus was reduced by 15% from the originally published amount of $198,348.
This years' bonus is 6% of the earnings of all races held at all Alberta racetracks in 2010.
