The 2008 CTHS Yearling Sale sale topper Bear Is Confirmed won a Three Year Old and Up $12, 500 Claiming race on May 19, 2010 at Woodbine. The Three-Year-Old gelding by Include out of Mockingbird Valley was consigned to the Sale by Glen Stouffer and is now owned by Bear Stables Ltd. and trained by Reade Baker.  (Posted May 25, 2010)


  

 Formal Gold to Esquirol Farms

Esquirol Farms reports that they have acquired a new stallion named Formal Gold and will have him available for breeding and inspection in early May 2010.

The Grade I winner of $1.5 million and leading sire Formal Gold most recently stood stud at Rancho San Miguel, a premier California breeding farm. This grandson of Mr. Prospector is by Black Tie Affair out of Ingoldsby by Screen King. He has sired progeny with global earnings of nearly $14,000,000 and has 19 stakes winners including Graded winners Adore the Gold (G2,$239,573) Trickle of Gold (G3,$467,709), Semaphore Man (G3,$564,104), Miss Matched (G3, $339,799) and Transduction Gold ($441,591). Formal Gold set the current 8 1/2 furlong track record at Monmouth (1:40 1/5) and is the sire of Delaware Park record holder and five-time stakes winner Trickle of Gold (G3, $467,709).

 2010 Filly by Othello out of Summer Theatre

Dave Lovlie has sent this photo in of his new bay filly born on March 31 2010 by his mare Summer Theatre by Othello. He reports that this picture was taken prior to shipping down to Kentucky to breed Summer Theatre back to Two Year Old Champion Macho Uno. (Updated May 5, 2010)


 Devil's Favour

The stakes producing mare Devil's Favour of Cool Spring Farm has produced another promising young prospect. On April 14, 2010, Devil's Favour foaled a chestnut colt by Kahuna Jack.
