RE: Breeders' Bonus 2010
Horse Racing Alberta's Breeders' Bonus for 2010 totals $505,786 and is being distributed through the Breed Improvement Program. The bonus is based on 2,3,4, and 5 year old horses foaled in Alberta being paid a bonus in an amount equal to the pro rata portion of the total budgeted amount based on total purse money earned by those horses in all races at all racetracks in Alberta. Please note that due to allocations from the Alberta Lottery Fund being lower than expected the Breeders' Bonus was reduced by 15% from the originally published amount of $595,042.00.
This years' bonus is 12% of the earnings of all races held at all Alberta racetracks in 2010.
