Night of Champions Archive - 2007 Awards

The Alberta Thoroughbred Industry held a very successful Awards Night on Saturday March 1st, 2008 at the Round-Up Centre at Stampede Park in Calgary, Alberta. About 275 people were in attendance at the event which celebrated the accomplishments from 2007  of the thoroughbred breeders, owners and trainers in the province. This Awards Night was the first time that the Alberta Freshman Sire title has been given out. The award is sponsored by the weekly newsmagazine of Thoroughbred Racing, the Thoroughbred Times. Debbie Winick, the West Coast representative for the Thoroughbred Times was on hand to give out the award to Ralph and Betty O’Bray who own the 2007 Alberta Freshman Sire Tiger Trap. Tiger Trap stands at O’Bray’s Equine Services in Carstairs, Alberta.
